Our approach to treatment

You have probably asked yourself why you have your pain, what can be done about it, whether it will come back and whether you will get actual treatment or just advice when you attend for your sessions.

You will find our answers quite reassuring.

  • Your condition gets diagnosed at your first assessment. Once it has a name and a reason you will start to feel more at ease with it. We think it is important to explain to you the nature of your condition and any physical mechanisms that lead up to it, so that treatment can reach beyond just resolving current symptoms.
  • You then decide with us on a realistic treatment goal. Usually there is always something you can do to improve your situation, even if you had your pain for a long time. There is no need to let what you can't do interfere with what you can do. We will customise your treatment plan, making individual on going adjustments to it as necessary to optimise your treatment outcome.
  • We help you to achieve your goal. You can also learn how to minimise any recurrence through self management techniques. This will benefit your long term health as well as reduce treatment costs.
  • You'll experience hands on treatment rather than just being given a leaflet. The success of your treatment with this approach is most rewarding
